"I feel like Dr. Massey has given me my life back. When I visited him the first time at HCWJ, he said he’d take me on as a project. No doctor for 10 years gave me much help. I was told to lose weight or it was all in my head. I had had back pain, but 3 previous MRIs didn’t show a problem. Dr. Massey had the wisdom to send me for an MRI of my brain. By this time, I could hardly walk more than 20 feet. The MRI finally gave us a diagnosis, and as Dr. Massey told me, “It was all in my head.” I have Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus. I am now a month post surgery (vp shunt placement) and I can walk faster and longer than I could in years! As other have said, Dr. Massey really listens to you and doesn’t stop until he figures things out. My husband is now a patient too."

"Hill Country Wellness Journey is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I cannot tell you how great it is to finally be able to get a hold of your doctor and actually talk to him. I actually have his cell phone number. No more dealing with a receptionist who acts like they are doing you a favor by giving you an appointment 2 months out. Appointments are usually same day or next day. It’s unbelievable. And the visits. WOW. You actually get to spend more than 5 minutes with the Doctor. My visits are 30-45 minutes long and he actually listens to you and genuinely cares. Cause he has time to care. This is how health care should be. Dr Joel Massey. Thank you sir.
