What is family medicine?

He provides health advice and care for people of all ages and stages of life to help find the right diagnosis. Dr. Massey takes as much time as you and your family need to discuss all treatment options. You’ll have unlimited care and access to Dr. Massey in exchange for an affordable monthly membership fee.

Hill Country Wellness Journey specializes in Creyos neurocognitive testing that screens for dementia, brain fog, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and similar conditions.

This test combines structured tasks with questionnaires to find the root cause of brain changes and determine if you or your child needs treatment.

What can I expect during family medicine care?

Dr. Massey begins family medicine appointments by evaluating weight, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, and other vital signs. He assesses height, growth patterns, and development in children and teenagers.

During a physical exam, Dr. Massey screens for signs of potential health concerns. He listens to your heartbeat and breathing and checks your eyes, throat, vision, abdomen, and limbs.

You or your child might be a candidate for neurocognitive testing, lab tests, imaging procedures, mental health evaluations, pharmacogenomic testing, or additional tests.

Dr. Massey determines whether you would benefit from treatments like medication management, dietary supplements, weight management, or lifestyle changes. He can treat diseases, illnesses, injuries, mental health conditions, and more.

When should I schedule family medicine appointments?

Book a family medicine appointment with Dr. Massey at Hill Country Wellness Journey at least once yearly (more often for babies and young children). See him if someone in your family gets sick, is injured, or develops unusual symptoms.
